A guide to our finishes.

Our products are meticulously finished by hand, resulting in natural variations that contribute unique beauty to each cabinet hardware. Most of our finishes are created using one of the following methods.

Plated finishes

Plating is a finishing technique that involves applying a thin layer of metal over a substrate. The substrate we use is solid brass, which is either hand-polished or brushed prior to plating to create a brushed or polished finish.

Lacquered finishes

Lacquered finishes are created by carefully polishing or brushing the surface. A durable clear satin lacquer is then applied and baked in our ovens to ensure proper curing, providing enduring protection.

Lacquered finish is our most commonly used paint on brushed brass products, because it is simple and durable, can keep the color of the product for a long time without discoloration, maintenance is also simple, as long as the paint is not damaged, the product can not be oxidized, but pay attention to the use in the bathroom, outdoor and other humid environment, the paint can not maintain long-term stability.

Unlacquered finishes

Unlacquered finishes are achieved through meticulous polishing or brushing of the surface, without any lacquer applied. Over time and with use, these finishes naturally age and wear, allowing each piece to acquire a distinct, beautiful appearance that enhances the overall design aesthetic.
